Bangkok

After a 50 minute taxi into Bangkok for 600 Baht, we arrived at our hostel. It was 8.30am here and we weren’t able to check in until 2pm so we had to kill some time exploring the city. Once we dropped the bags off I was immediately spotted because of my height by a man who introduced himself as Mr Chi, a local teacher. He took us into a beautiful temple where he showed us how pray for good luck, which was a great experience. It seemed like he wanted to be our personal tour guide and was willing to drive us to a different temples but we politely declined as he could have been harmless but Sophie and Conor weren’t sure of him.

Once we left him we went to ‘ the Golden Mount’ which was 344 steps up to a golden peak that showed a beautiful overview of the city and you could gage how big the place was. We walked around some of the back streets before getting some lunch and heading back to hostel for some well deserved rest. So far loving we are loving Bangkok with the beautiful buildings and the friendly locals!
